WorshipPlanning.com version 4.0.4 Logo

Version 4.0.4 is now LIVE, and it includes these exciting features:

SongSelect_LogoIf you have a SongSelect™ account, you can now easily search and retrieve song details (including lyrics and chord sheets) form the SongSelect database…without leaving WorshipPlanning.com!  It will seem like your song library in WP just instantly grew 1000 fold!

Our SongSelect integration is easy to use.  But we’ve gone ahead and create four very short videos on how to use it.  Feel free to check them out here (they are also available on our support site):

Updated Worship Flow Element Editor

Improved Worship Flow Dialog

The  window used to select which library item should be included in the worship flow element has been improved in the following ways:

  • More streamline selection of which library or songbook from which you’d like to select an item
  • Ability upload/attach files to a song without having to leave this page and edit the song itself
  • Seamless SongSelect integration

Improved Roles Management

Improved Roles Management

Editing role details has been inconsistent between Account Admins and Ministry Schedulers.  We have now made the interface the same for both.  You can even add roles to teams and assign them as skills to people, right on the Edit Roles window.

When I enter my SongSelect login information into the “Sync” box, it tells me my information was not valid, etc. Yet I type in the exact same information into SongSelect itself and it works perfectly… Anyone have any ideas?

    Hi Troy,
I’m sorry for the trouble you are having with this. We have a couple suggestions fromt the SongSelect team that might help you out.

    1. It seems that the current version of the main SongSelect site is not case sensitive when it comes to your password. But the authentication method that WorshipPlanning.com connects to is. So you might want to confirm that your password is correct, even down to the case level
    2. Password changes on the main SongSelect site take up to one hour to replicate over to the connection WorshipPlanning.com uses to authenticate.

Also, we are looking into an authentication issue that some IE users have been reporting. We hope to have that resolved shortly.

I wanted to provide a little more information regarding Internet Explorer and authenticating SongSelect in WorshipPlanning.com. We have confirmed that there is an issue, and we hope to have a resolution by mid-day tomorrow. In the meantime, one possible work-around is to use a different browser (Chrome, Firefox, or Safari) to authenticate your SongSelect account in WorshipPlanning.com. Once authenticated, you can go back to use IE and everything should work fine.

This issue was not caught in our testing phase because for some reason it does not happen in our development and test environments. We are sorry for the inconvenience it may be causing you.

    – Update for IE users –
We have applied a fix that should now allow all IE users to integrate their SongSelect account with their WorshipPlanning.com account. If you have any questions, feel free to post them here. Support related issues should be directed to our support center – http://support.worshipplanning.com.
